Position Summary:
The Integration Development Engineer III position is an advanced-level technical position in Information Management requiring a broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of systems planning, project management, database administration, system/data structures, system administration, system interfacing, system data conversions, system/data security, information quality, application software and clinical and business administration. The position will have matrixed reporting to and work activity with other IT work teams or projects. Work situations are a combination of complex technical, clinical, financial and administrative responsibilities and require critical thinking, planning, independent decision making, problem solving, leadership, systems analysis, technical documentation, customer service skills, project management, organization, negotiation, staff mentoring and development skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A thorough knowledge of MultiCare Health System and its organizational and system interrelationships is required. Internal contacts require establishing rapport and working relationships with all levels of staff, management, physicians and medical providers, and MHS executives. External contacts include vendor personnel and outside professional and healthcare organizations.
Minimum Requirements:
Five - seven (5 - 7) years experience in information management, developing, implementing, operating, maintaining or using (as a "super user") systems in integrated health care delivery network including hospitals and/or clinic settings.
Previous installation experience with healthcare systems, databases and interfaces in hospitals and/or clinic settings desirable.
Previous vendor experience with integrated business and clinical systems such as Epic or Lawson or interface engines such as Cloverleaf is highly desirable.
Valid Washington State drivers license
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, healthcare, or Information Technology.
Clinical/Financial license/Technical certification (RN, MT, RRT, CPA, MCSE, OCP, etc.) preferred.
Specific recent relevant Information Technology or healthcare experience may be substituted for education.
Will consider I, II or III or Sr. levels depending on qualifications.
