Under the direction of the Installation Supervisor, the Installation Specialist performs the technical, logistical, and administrative duties required to install NK equipment into customer site. The Install Specialist also performs emergency repair services, as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
* Serves as onsite lead for capital installations, manages 3rd party duties and communicates expectations * Trains 3rd party staff in basic duties related to cable pull, inventory, staging and installation * Performs high-level quality checks of all equipment prior to installation into a customer site * Performs WMTS system validation prior to go-live, inclusive of required calibration and testing * Coordinates with tech support and/or sales admin, when issues cannot be resolved onsite * Troubleshoots and repairs NKA capital equipment onsite and resolve network issues, when possible * Installs all capital equipment into customer site/department as outlined by the install design documents * Follows installation plans provided by corporate, communicates issues or variances, as required * Completes as-built documentation required for project closeout and communicates to the customer * Ensures customer is trained and knowledgeable of all equipment locations and components * Ensures all equipment is working properly, installation is neat and orderly, and customer is satisfied * Ensures all finished products work accurately * Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes * Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent from technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Knowledge:
* Basic cabling and construction principles * Basic familiarity with networks
Experience Required:
2 years installation experience, preferably in hospital environment
Skills/Abilities:
* Strong organization and time management skills * Ability to work alone, staying on task and working efficiently * Detail oriented and deadline focused * Willingness to work occasional weekends
WORKING CONDITIONS
TRAVEL: Ability to travel 80% of the time
SPEAKING: Able to speak and present information in front of groups
PHYSICAL: Ability to climb ladders, work in close quarters, have arms over head for long periods of time, and carry 30 pounds
