Job Description

Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an energetic engineer with a strong interest in web content delivery and traffic management tools to help drive the growth of our world-class mobile and web e-commerce platforms. Our Customer Experience platform is evolving quickly and we seek someone who is excited by the opportunity to help us balance stability with velocity as we expand our feature set globally in 2019 and beyond.

Responsibilities:

* Advocate and help implement web and API traffic management solutions that enhance the availability, efficiency and performance of Foot Locker's e-commerce platform.
* Drive increasing automation of our site operations tools.
* Work closely with other members of Platform Engineering, helping to increase productivity, collaboration and skill levels.
* Facilitate sharing of best practices and relevant innovations within Platform Engineering and its key partners.

Core Competencies, Accomplishments & Requirements:

* 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing, operating and maintaining infrastructure for high volume enterprise web & mobile applications.
* 2+ years of production operations experience with multiple of the following:
* Content delivery networks (CDNs) such as Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly…
* Web security providers such as PerimeterX, Kasada, Shape…
* Monitoring services such as CatchPoint, Pingdom, Uptrends…
* API gateway providers such as Apigee, MuleSoft, Azure APIM…


* Passionate about leveraging scripting and automation tools to streamline site operations and reduce manual overhead.
* Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins and Git.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Energized by a DevOps culture and Site Reliability Engineering concepts.
