Job Description

We're seeking an Information Security Engineer, based in our Denver Colorado office (global headquarters). In this role you will interact with management in various departments, vendors, and business functions. Monitor, evaluate, and maintains systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases and defines implements, maintains information security practices and technologies to ensure appropriate protection of Western Union's data

What you will need to succeed:

* Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in related field, with 5+ years of related Information Security experience.


* In-depth technical experience with network infrastructure, operating systems, databases, web applications and other computing technologies.


* Substantial knowledge and understanding of information security concepts and best practices as they pertain to information systems.


* Strong knowledge of hardware / software security evaluation principles and practices.


* Demonstrated knowledge of the business, market and industry; ability to bridge business knowledge with technology security.



What will make you stand out:

* One of the following certifications nice to have: CISSP, CSSLP, CISA, CRISC


* Demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of Risk Assessment / Management Concepts: Auditing Methodologies and Approaches, Information Security Policies, Standards and Procedures, PCI Standards, ISO 2700x Standards, NIST Risk Framework, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance mandate


* Demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of technology / security concepts to include: Security Architecture and Design, Application Security, Network Security and Cystography
