Job Description:

The Information Security Engineer (ISE) will be responsible for supporting the delivery of endpoint security solutions to the enterprise. Endpoints consist of traditional compute platforms, such as workstations, application servers, and Internet of Things.

The ISE will serve as an engineer and subject matter expert while working with key stakeholders to shepherd the security solutions through an SDLC process. The ISE will engage in all aspects of the SDLC process, from requirements gathering to engineering to deployment and delivery to the users and operators.

As such, the ISE must possess experience with deploying IT security products and knowledge of endpoint security. In addition, good communication skills are essential.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of fundamental security concepts, ideally demonstrated by the possession of an industry recognized security certification, such as an ISC and/or GIAC.

Understanding of endpoint security concepts and experience with securing mainstream operating systems, using intrinsic functions.

Hands on experience with some third party endpoint security tools, such as anti-virus, endpoint detection and response, host intrusion prevention, vulnerability and security compliance monitoring, etc.

Understanding of the current threat landscape including attacker tactics and techniques. Awareness of technologies that can be deployed to mitigate those threats.

Familiarity with vulnerability management programs and evaluating patching currency is a plus.

Experience designing and reviewing systems test plans is a plus.

Familiarity with securing modern day compute environments, such as software defined infrastructure, cloud based services, and containers is a plus.

Familiarity with security operations functions, such as hunting, incident response, forensics, etc.
