Job Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities

* Provide security expertise and be able to communicate complex security issues to management and leadership team
* Oversee the creation of security policies, documentation of security processes and security strategy
* Collaborate with different teams within IT to provide security and business technology solutions for the company
* Plan, design and implement technologies that improve and advance the security posture of the company
* Monitor networks, on-premise and cloud systems for security breaches, using software that detects intrusions and anomalous system behavior
* Investigate security breaches
* Lead incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then conducting a technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage
* Develop and implement tools to assist in detection, prevention and analysis of security threats as needed
* Initiate and promote activities to create information security awareness throughout the global organization.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, IT or related field. Master's degree preferred.
* A minimum of 6-8 years prior, progressive Information Security experience.
* CISSP or equivalent certification highly desirable
* Prior experience with a U.S. based publicly traded, multinational manufacturing company.
* Expert level knowledge of security, networking and networking concepts and technology.
* At least 5 years' experience with Palo Alto Next Generation firewalls or equivalent.
* Must be able to multi-task, as the support environment requires attention across multiple areas.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Be customer centric and have the interpersonal skills necessary to manage business and technology relationships with internal and external clients.
* Understanding of GDPR and how it affects and impacts security across a global company.
* Needs to be a team player, wiling to be on call and work off hours to support a global environment.
