Responsibilities

CenTrak is seeking an Implementation Technician to join its ever-expanding Field Services team. The Implementation Technician will help support various hospitals with the tagging of assets by locating pumps, wheelchairs and beds throughout the facility. The Implementation Technician might need to use some electronic equipment to locate the assets and reprogram the tags while servicing the tags. This role reports directly to the Director of Field Service Engineering. * Perform facility tag maintenance, tag swapping, infrastructure maintenance and battery swapping
* Responsible for all maintenance and monitoring of alerts
* Install new RTLS infrastructure and validate the system via CenTrak software applications
* Ability to understand CenTrak designs with regards to device location within the hospital
* Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions and suggesting improved methods/techniques
* Document service and installation actions by completing forms and reports

Qualifications

* Associate degree in Telecommunications/Networking/Electronics and/or 2-3+ years of work experience in RTLS Networking Systems
* Preferred: Networking/Telecommunications experience within Healthcare Industry
* Strong networking background
* Experience with IR, Wireless and Network Protocols
* Ability to utilize different hardware and software tools
* Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
* Must be able to provide own transportation to hospitals and drive between facilities as needed
* Must be comfortable working in a hospital (including patient rooms)
* Must be able to physically walk around the hospital throughout the day
* Candidates must be able to work normal business hours Monday-Friday
* Driven to meet or exceed consumer expectations with the exception of being flexible on working outside normal business hours
* Able to interpret and disseminate information
* Able to prepare basic reports and use of the appropriate mode of communication
* Comfortable with technology and the use of standard office programs and networks
* Listening and strong communications skills
* Solid problem solver with decision making acumen
* Take responsibility and be accountable for performing a task at a high level
* Demonstrate personal integrity and honesty
