Job Description

Academic Partnerships is looking to hire a Project Manager with higher education experience to join our Partner Implementation Team in Dallas.

As an Implementation Project Manager, you'll drive project leadership, process improvement, and change management initiatives as we launch new online education programs at our university partners. The Implementation Project Manager establishes a clear baseline and drive the performance and concerted effort of local, remote, and professionally diverse teams.

Responsibilities Include:

* Manage the project launch process including coordinating of marketing, academic services, and IT resources at both AP and the partner university for a successful program launch.
* Manage the implementation project plan, including implementation schedule, outstanding items, project risks and escalation processes.
* Champion implementation of on-model, market-competitive program characteristics.
* Through an effective business process overview, document the partner's current processes and provide recommendations on areas of improvement based on industry standards or best practices for similar systems, and/or that would enhance the overall end user experience to drive the partner to a competitive, scalable online model.
* Guide the university leadership team on the "why" as well as the "how" for the necessity of change. Incorporate lessons learned into recommendations for business process improvements. Additionally, help guide the university leadership to accept these recommendations.
* Support partners to make a smooth transition from their existing processes to optimized processes through ongoing change management, consulting and advisory support.
* Serve as the conduit between the partner and AP stakeholders to implement the key aspects of the recommendations.
* Manage all tasks for the program launch using Wrike project management software to ensure on-time completion in support of the program launch timeline.
* Escalate items impacting completion of tasks.
* Manage resolution of issues in a timely, effective manner.

Qualifications Include:

* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
* 5+ years' project management experience in online degree program management.
* PMP Certification
* 5+ years' experience working in Higher Education. (preferred)
* Demonstrated experience in consulting and/or training and development; system implementation, and requirements gathering is required.
* Proven ability to lead multiple projects and project teams simultaneously with a history of delivering on schedule and within budget.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate professionals to operate as a cohesive group in a matrixed environment.
* Ability to communicate with a cross functional team that is geographically dispersed and of different professional backgrounds (i.e. University Administration, Admissions Office, Technology Team, etc.).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project helpful.
* Advanced knowledge of Visio and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of Ellucian Banner® and/or PeopleSoft SIS preferred.
* Previous experience using Wrike project management software preferred.
* Ability to travel up to 25%
