Identity and Access Management Technical Project Manager

Key Role:

Work as an Identity and Access Management (IAM) lead, ensuring the successful completion of large-scale enterprise to enterprise IAM solutions in support of a Veteran Affairs (VA) initiative to modernize the current VistA Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to Cerner's Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) solution as part of the Veterans Administration Electronic Health Records Modernization Program (EHRM). Provide support, including requirements, design, and system integrations, oversee development, deploy, test, operate, and maintain the directory of IAM. Act as a technical subject matter expert and address problems with systems integration. Support interfacing with business, system owners, development teams, federal agencies, and other Joint efforts within and external to VA. Apply technical expertise for user authorizations and logical access to enable user restrictions to prevent unauthorized access to business transactions and seeing patient data that is not required to conduct their clinical workflows. Act as highest-level technical expert and address the problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience with independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software in a healthcare or clinical environment
* Experience with being responsible for project completion
* Ability to act as the highest-level technical expert and address problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms
* Ability to perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
* BA or BS degree in Healthcare IT, CS, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field required or 10 years of professional experience may be substituted for degree requirements

Additional Qualifications:

* Experience in the VA preferred
* Experience with integrating electronic health records a plus
* Experience with actual implementation
* Knowledge of both patient identity and employee identity and authentication, including Single Sign On and PIV and authorization, including manual and automated
