Summary

At Balfour Beatty Construction in Dallas, Texas we are seeking a Hyperion Administrator. The role of the Hyperion Administrator is to act as a liaison between IT and the business regarding, but not limited to, the Hyperion environment and applications. This position will be responsible for the daily management, administration, and technical end user support of all Hyperion tools and related data/systems. Solution oriented consulting for new development work will also be a key function for this position.

Essential Functions

* Handle routine requests, such as adding and removing metadata in the Hyperion environment.
* Write calc scripts, business rules, and member formulas in Calculator and MDX language.
* Create and maintain data forms and financial reports.
* Write SQL statements to query data from Ledger system.
* Update and debug SQL Server stored procedures and views.
* Design & administer the security in the Hyperion environment.
* Perform data loads/exports, including data validation and consolidation of data; this includes performing month-end close responsibilities.
* Research and investigate data discrepancies and provide data validation reports.
* Maintain data mappings.
* Respond incidents/issues.
* Monitor and report system performance, availability, and utilization.
* Maintain open communication to team members and end users regarding system and data availability.
* Develop complex rule files to adjust feeds for data loading, dimension building and modified existing rule files.
* Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
* Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of projects.

Minimum Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
* 5 years or more of experience in Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Reporting and Shared Services administration/development.
* Understanding of ETL processes.
* Experience with PBCS plan type data maps and data replication.
* Essbase BSO and ASO member formulas.
* PBCS backup and recovery, both full and incremental.
* PBCS migrations / LCM (part or whole).
* High level Smart View expertise.

Preferred Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science preferred.
* Oracle Data Integrator and Hyperion Data Relationship Management experience preferred.
* Solid experience using MS Office 2007, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003; Windows 7 experience preferred.
* Finance and Accounting experience is preferred.
* Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
* Flexible during times of change.
* Prior project management & business analysis experience is nice-to-have.
* Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

* Ability to work directly with end users and create requirements, design docs, test plans, etc.
* Demonstrated ability to anticipate potential problems/act in a proactive manner.
* Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills.
