Job Description

Forterra Building Products is seeking an HRIS Analyst for its Irving, TX location.

The HRIS Analyst will administer Forterra's human capital management systems involving UltiPro and Kronos, etc. and will research, analyze, test, design and maintain these systems to support the HR Services function.

Forterra is a leading manufacturer of pipe and products in the U.S. and Eastern Canada for a variety of water-related infrastructure applications, including water transmission, distribution and drainage. Based in Irving, Texas, Forterra employs more than 5,000 people and operates more than 110 facilities, with products available throughout the U.S. and Eastern Canada.


* Maintain data integrity and configure core HR, payroll and timekeeping systems to meet business requirements / policies, in compliance with statutory regulations.
* Develop file specifications and delivery methods for data transmissions to internal customers (e.g., IT, Finance) and third party vendors; maintain existing interfaces.
* Build ad hoc complex reports with SQL, Cognos Analytics BI, Power BI, etc. to meet internal customer needs.
* Security administration and workflow configuration.
* Administer system upgrades and testing.
* Understand connection between ERP and HCM systems in order to maintain data accuracy (i.e., general ledger allocations).
* Assist with yearly processes (i.e., year-end reporting, W-2, T-4, RL-1).
* Document system related business processes and procedures.
* Support the delivery of training on HR systems to end users.
* Troubleshoot, determine root cause analysis, and implement solutions to complex system issues.


* Minimum 6 years HRIS experience in core HR services and payroll; UltiPro or Dayforce Ceridian preferred. HRIS experience on Canadian administration a plus.
* Minimum 2 years experience maintaining, troubleshooting and configuring timekeeping systems; Kronos or Dayforce Ceridian preferred.
* Minimum 2 years experience in one or more areas of HRIS administration involving recruiting, onboarding, performance management, talent management, benefits or total rewards modules.
* Adequate experience or skill sets to be able to analyze, design and build ad hoc complex report requests based on customer requirements; SQL or Cognos Analytics BI preferred.
* Prior experience in HCM implementations a plus.
