As an HR Applications Developer supporting the Enterprise Digital team, you will be responsible for developing complex custom solutions to improve employee engagement and productivity, and add to the suite of tools supported by the Enterprise Digital team. You will work closely with senior developers on the team and with our internal clients to gather business requirements.

Your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

* Assists more senior applications developers in setting up code, testing and debugging new and/or existing software. This position also provides high-level technical support to clients.
* Codes, tests and debugs software programs and meets project plan goals under limited guidance from senior software developers.
* Active participation in technical design and review
* Works independently to design and develop small technical modules.
* Assists with repairing coding problems.
* Provides technical support to clients on existing problems escalated as appropriate.
* Provides support through help desk; monitors trends and results from technical support calls to advise senior team members on performance of existing systems.
* Acts as a technical resource for other analysts on the team.
* Works with team to develop project plans and communicate software development plans.
* Assist the Enterprise Digital team with BAU work such as content updates, testing, podcasts, maintaining community sites etc.

Location: Hoboken as primary location with occasional travel to the 1166 office as needed

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering is desired
* 1-3 years related experience.
* Must understand the Agile software development methodology or can be trained in this methodology.
* Strong system analysis and debugging skills
* Familiarity or experience with one or more high level programming languages (C#, Python, Node, PHP, Angular, .Net etc.)
* Ability to identify, own, and solve problems independently or as part of a team
* Knowledge of current IT trends and current technologies
* Ability to learn new technologies
* Ability to solve problems with innovative solutions
