The ideal candidate will possess a pre-sales background and deep technology focus to lead a team of solution architects. You will be a self-starter who will work with key stakeholders both internal and external, interact with different markets, and execute a strategy to accelerate our partners journey from on-premises, traditional software distribution to Software as a Service in the cloud. You will work AWS Services teams, Sales, and several other AWS teams to craft innovative, scale-able, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that support this new delivery of new generation software in the cloud. You will incubate, develop, and lead worldwide scale mechanisms to enable teams of Solution Architects to repeatably deliver the right guidance and technical content to partners to support their migration, modernization and software-as-a-service journey. Role & Responsibilities
* Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders within partners to understand their challenges and blockers and distill trends and/or service feature enhancements back into appropriate AWS services teams * Work with AWS global leaders to design and build custom enablement and GTM programs/packages across multiple geographies tailored to different markets, maturity, and skills needed to help partners be successful in accelerating their journey to cloud * Hire, develop and lead a team of specialist Solution Architects. Scale this team into the various geographies and countries as maturity evolves * Define a long term strategy for helping ISV's accelerate the journey of re-platforming their software on the cloud using AWS services * Incubate and build scaleable programs to help our partner community migrate, modernize and SaaSify their software using AWS services. Devise specific metrics and KPI's to measure the impact, and continually improve and evolve programs to meet the needs of AWS teams in other geographies. * Capture best-practice knowledge and patterns amongst the AWS partner solutions architect community, and build scale programs and tooling to improve productivity.
