BizTech today is a mighty team of one responsible for internal applications across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success and in the future Finance, and HR. This includes core systems like Salesforceand Marketo, and a number of 3rd-party tools. As the BizTech Lead, you'll scale the team across applications engineers, business analysts and project managers. You'll also own contractor and vendor management related to Segment's internal systems. The ultimate goal here is to set Segment up to scale beyond its original growth spurt - into the Enterprise and internationally.
What you'll do:
* Directly impact Segment's go-to-market effectiveness, efficiency and velocity by supercharging Segment's customer-facing and internal teams * Lead the design, configuration and implementation of global, high-performance solutions on our Salesforce platform, adjoining 3rd-party tools and homegrown apps * Instrument and manage systems that power our marketing, sales and G&A operations * Independently drive company-wide systems improvements and project management efforts * Scale the Salesforce and internal application development teams and provide technical leadership to them; lead the team hands-on in the beginning * Build strong relationships with senior leadership across business and internal teams

* You care deeply about achieving business outcomes while building sound, scalable and functional technology * You have proven success in priority setting, product management and project management * You have mastered problem solving, priority setting and scoping * You excel at deliberate team leadership and have built productive and happy teams * You possess demonstrable ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization * You have 6+ years of development experience, ideally with Salesforce * You have 3+ years as Salesforce Architect (bonus points if you are Salesforce Technical Architect certified!) * You have 4+ years experience planning roadmaps and deploying software initiatives * You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems or Information Systems or comparable experience
