Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

* Responsible for managing an energetic / highly skilled Digital Innovation team of internal and external experts to drive the digital change agenda.
* Responsible for defining the strategic direction and priorities of Digital Innovation across multiple customer experiences, digital functionality expansion and consistent compliance practices. Researches best-in-class digital experiences and execution and analyzes competitive strategies and technologies.
* Provides just in time senior consulting expertise to leadership, project teams and colleagues at all levels of the organization engaged in digital transformation, problem solving, and process improvement. Provides tools and frameworks to ensure consistency of approach and quality across engagements. Influences adoption of best practice methodologies and influences a culture of continuous improvement.
* Conducts Proofs of Concept/Value and Pilots. Participates in the development of project charters and business cases to describe and quantify the benefits of applying new technologies and process methodologies. Participates in enterprise strategy projects including internal business consulting, process design work, and the application of Lean Digital and Design Thinking methodologies to business operations. The Center for Digital Innovation will consist of people who are future focused, able to challenge conventional thought, offer unique perspectives and conceive of more digitally innovative solutions for BMS.
* Provides governance models for prioritizing and managing digital innovation investments across the company.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

* Lead, motivate, develop and manage the performance of direct reports, building a high caliber team with the skills and capabilities needed to deliver the required results. In addition to the day to day management of Digital Innovation resources, instill an entrepreneurial culture and adopt an entrepreneurial management style leading to focused delivery at expected quality and cost.
* Discover, evaluate, and incubate next generation technologies. Continuously search and test new concepts and ideas for improvement in domains such as:
* Disruptive Innovation
* Continuous Innovation
* Entrepreneurial Management
* Accelerators and Incubators
* Accelerating Technologies early identification
* Communities and Crowd Sourcing


* Consult with internal business partners to develop charters, methodologies and key strategies to identify, quantify and execute on Digital Innovation objectives and strategies.
* Define and agree on performance level agreements and metrics covering key elements of the Center for Digital Innovation in terms of business impact and level of satisfaction of business units, internal users, customers and consumers.
* Develop frameworks for digital opportunity assessment and prioritization. Evaluate value streams and project portfolios to identify opportunities to maximize value and improve process flows. Prioritize recommended solutions and evaluate completed projects against predetermined criteria for success.
* Champion Lean Process and Design Thinking principles and practices across the enterprise fostering deeper understanding and adoption.
* Provide expert consultation to associates at all levels on a wide variety of integrated complex process tools and methods in order to develop, design, implement, monitor, maintain, operate, and improve multiple business and/or system processes. Mentor, educate and train others on the use of multiple process design techniques, methods and tools as well as on the use-of and execution-of multiple business and systems processes and tools.
* Manage collaborative relationships with vendors, partners and suppliers to support project plans.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology; Masters preferred
* Certification in Lean Sigma, Digitization, Design Thinking, and Robotics Process Automation preferred.
* 15 years relevant experience in areas of Information Technology, digital consulting, digital design, robotics process automation, project management, and cross-functional leadership.
* Demonstrated experience introducing new and innovative technologies that enable improved business performance across a variety of functions including corporate, commercial, manufacturing and supply chain, and research and development.
* Proven strategic thought leadership and demonstrated experience driving innovation and change.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities at once, build relationships and work effectively with internal and external partners.
* Comfortable with technology in order to lead a meaningful dialogue with technology partners
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating and delivering compelling presentations to executive audiences inside and outside the company.
* Demonstrated strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills in a highly matrixed organization.
