Job Description

Do you get a thrill out of closing a good deal? Do you have specific experience building massively-scaled networks? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon.com as a key technology platform provider? If this describes you, how would you like to own driving the deals and help decide our strategy as we grow?

The Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Global Expansion Network Development Edge team (AWS IGE-NetDev Edge) is looking for a highly motivated Technical Business Developer to help build and scale one of the world's largest and most complex networks. Our customers demand the highest quality and reliability for their services. As we expand at a tremendous rate across all of our services, it is our responsibility to maintain that quality and reliability while driving down costs. We look for innovative ways to scale our network as we expand, while driving complex issues to resolution.

As a Technical Business Developer for Internet Services, you will play an important role in planning and sourcing IP interconnect and peering capacity in close coordination with other team members. You will respond to peering requests, sourcing and negotiating peering and transit connections to ISPs, assist in establishing peering with partner networks at new Internet exchanges globally, and work closely with network operations teams to ensure that peering and transit connections are upgraded in a timely and effective manner. The ideal candidate will be excited about the incredible opportunity cloud computing represents and will be passionate about building great teams that deliver high quality services. You will be customer centric and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and great communication skills.

* Assist in establishing peering with partner networks at new interconnect facilities globally, and work closely with network operations teams to ensure that peering and transit connections are upgraded in a timely and effective manner
* Continually negotiate improved interconnection business relationships with external network providers
* Collaborate with a wide variety of internal teams including business development, legal, and deployment, to successfully implement strategic plans
* Willingness and ability to travel frequently to site visits and team meetings
