The Global Security department provides protection, investigation, resiliency, and crisis management services in support of JP Morgan Chase & Co., its employees, customers, assets, and facilities throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, Security Guard management, alarm response, branch and corporate building security, customer safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety, executive protection, due diligence, pre-employment screening, security operations globally, and fraud investigations

The candidate is responsible for supporting the activities for Global Crisis Management team, the Global Security Operations Center team, and the North American Regional Security team, focused on anticipating, assessing, and responding to multifaceted global threats to the firm's assets. Specifically, the candidate will provide critical operational support leveraging a core geospatial information system (GIS) to collect, visualize, analyze, and disseminate information to a cross functional team.

* Coordinate with SMEs to clearly identify operational drivers, trends, patterns, and opportunities


* Assist with GIS mapping and data analysis


* Support data management with GIS tool


* Responsible for supporting key programs and projects to enhance operational strategy, efficiency and governance, optimization efforts


* Support process improvement initiatives; be innovative in finding ways to improve current processes to optimize operations and drive simplification


* Provide operational support to various events and activities


* Lead and contribute to key projects, including strategic, control, operational related initiatives


* Develop presentation materials for various audiences including senior management



Qualifications:

* 5+ years relevant work experience


* BA (or equivalent) degree required in a related field or relevant work experience


* Strong initiative, self-starter and motivated, address complex problems sets and challenges


* Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills: research, gather, arrange, compile, summarize, and evaluate data to drive operational solutions and tactical decision-making


* Strong background with ArcGIS or other GIS applications


* Proficiency with MS Office suite


* Detail and delivery oriented, able to effectively plan and track to prescribed timeline


* Flexible and comfortable working with multiple competing timelines/tasks, able to operate with limited supervision


* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to work with multiple teams


* Effective communication; able to communicate succinctly both in writing and in speech
