Job Roles/Responsibilities: as a GIS Technical Architect

* Technical Architecture for ESRI Projects
* Work with customer teams to identify optimal ways of integration of other sub-systems
* Identify avenues to automate Integration & System Testing for ESRI
* Ensure process compliance on development and testing processes.
* Work with Customer teams (Leads, Operations Teams) to understand Project timelines, identify areas for automation of releases, Testing and Deployments
* Setup DevOps processes & methodologies tuned to the customer's IT needs. Identify areas of optimization, adopt best practices of using Agile or SAFe or other frameworks that will enable the customer to go Agile
* Ensure process compliance on development and testing processes.
* Provide governance, work with Client's Project manager for routine and escalation management tasks
* Coordinate with Client's Sr. management and other partners on required project approvals.

Mandatory Skills:

* The Ideal candidate possess at least 15+ years of experience in large Technical Management related to GIS Development activities - implementation/upgrade, business application requirements and Design Management.
* Very strong in business communication in a multi partner environment especially managing third party vendors, consulting with users to understand needs, define requirements, and provide effective solutions.
* Good understanding of the SDLC processes including agile development
* Knowledge of various DevOps platforms, creating CI / CD pipeline, automating GIS deployments (knowledge of DevOps Tools like Jenkins is a must)
* Extensive Hands on experience with electrical distribution and transmission system's in the GIS space. Knowledge of GIS applications in utilities across desktop, web and mobile field GIS solutions.
* Experience developing and supporting desktop and web based applications.
* Utilize best practices for identifying, designing, developing, and deploying ArcFM Solution to satisfy enterprise needs. Design, create and manage the ArcFM System Tables, Configuring the ArcFM Solution Model Names, Auto-updaters, Stored Displays and Page Templates. Hands on Experience in configuring/deploying ArcFM (electric utility) applications and tools. This includes ArcFM Enterprise database/desktop editing environment, the ArcFM Session Manager / Process Framework, and ArcFM Engine / Inspector platform.
* Collaboration with technical and subject matter experts to gain an understanding of requirements/design and provide input from a software development perspective

Preferred Skills:

1 Good writing skills to be able to effectively document system components, such as system architecture, data flow, operations, software installations and support.

2. Define requirements/design specifications into detailed test plans/test cases, develop test data and execute unit/systems testing.

Secondary skills:

* Experience with general data manipulation/automation with GIS or database extract/translate/load tools, specifically Safe Software FME and ArcGIS Python.
* Desirable to have some knowledge of T&D integrating systems like SAP, Maximo, CGI, CYME etc.
