Gameplay Engineer

We're looking for passionate Gameplay Engineers who can help us develop the best mobile games on the market today. As a developer on a small product team, you will be encouraged and expected to actively participate in every part of the process of shipping a game - from brainstorming initial concepts to delivering the final product.

Responsibilities

* Work on iOS game application architecture and push development using Objective C
* Participate in all phases of our game development life cycle to convert concepts and specifications into released iOS game applications and features
* Develop gameplay systems and UI mechanics in partnership with designers, artists, and animators to bring the vision of the game to life
* Implement Gameplay or AI functionality using core engine features
* Co-develop tools with artists, animators, designers and core programming staff
* Measure and tune performance of critical code so that the game is efficient and scalable
* Assist in the sharing of ideas and exploration of new practices to continually improve the quality of game development within the Company
* Build game applications that will be used by millions of users

Qualifications

* Strong experience with iOS technologies (Objective C, Cocoa, iOS SDK) or experience developing games in C/C++
* B.S. in Computer Science
* Ability to set own goals and deliver features with a minimum of oversight
* Flexibility to change directions and contexts quickly and efficiently
* Good communication skills
* Solid understanding of algorithms, physics and math
* Experience working in game development
* Passion for gaming and for developing great games

Pluses

* Familiarity with Cocos2D and Java
* Familiarity with the Android SDK
* Familiarity with Android hardware
* Experience working with backend server code and server/client communications
