About the Role

As a Visual Technologies Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will bring to life products and features that incorporate some of Houzz's most cutting edge technologies. These include technologies in 3D visualization, AR and much more. You will work across the entire web stack, and leverage a strong understanding of OOP as well as Javascript and CSS. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, independent and has experience owning complete features and products with a desire to build an engaging consumer experience.

What You'll Do

* Take research concepts and prototypes and transform them into innovative new products, used by millions of homeowners and professionals from around the world
* Build features for all parts of our web application, its libraries, widgets and custom features
* Work cross-functionally across software engineering, research engineering, product, 3d art and design teams

At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have

* Experience owning complete features and products
* Proficiency in web stack programming, from schema design to building user-facing interfaces (OOP, Java/C++, LAMP)
* Experience developing real-world web applications using CSS, JS
* B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
* 3+ years experience

Ideally, You'll Also Have

* Independence and self-direction
* Experience developing consumer-facing features for millions of consumers
* Experience working with, or a desire to work with, 3D artists and 3D art content
* Familiarity with WebGL and three.js
