JOB TITLE: Full Stack Software Engineer (UI Focused)

JOB LOCATION: San Francisco or Sunnyvale, CA

Do you want to help change the way people experience their health care? Castlight's mission is to improve our users' journey through the health care system. As part of that mission, my team is looking for a top caliber engineer with experience in building SaaS Applications at Internet scale, including some front-end experience for a greenfield project to develop and drive a personalization platform for Castlight's applications. This team has already developed a platform that drives significant value for our users and the business, and now we're embarking on something even bigger.

This team leverages a rich set of health claims, demographics, biometrics, and wearables data. You'll collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other data and infrastructure engineers to deliver personalized features to our applications. Work will include spending about half the time in our UI stack implementing components in our user-facing applications using Angular 2, and instrumenting experiments in these applications to deliver features to the end-users and to monitor performance (e.g. A/B tests). You'll also contribute to the development of APIs for integrating with the platform using Java, J2EE, and the Spring framework. Some of your time will be spent working with the team to maintain our existing platform, but most will be toward this greenfield project.

The ideal candidate will have experience working across the full stack of development, from front-end components to backend services . This team uses Angular 2 in the front end and Java, and specifically Spring, for the backend.

QUALIFICATIONS

* 2+ years of front end development experience using JavaScript with either Angular 2 or React
* 2+ years of Java development experience
* Experience developing APIs and contributing to the development of RESTful services
* Experience with SQL / RDBMS
* Familiarity working in an Agile environment
* BS in Computer Science or other technical degree such as Physics, Mathematics or Engineering
