Job Description

In this role, you will work with an agile team of Software Engineers that is in transition to a software as a service (SaaS). The team is responsible for delivering a highly available software platform and applications supporting customer's use of monitor/defibrillator and automated external defibrillator (AED) products. Your work contributes to saving patients' lives.

You are responsible for

* Applying software development practices for object-oriented architecture, design, implementation, test and documentation of applications and features
* Translating concepts into user flows, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
* Create products according to the specifications and software development process
* Create engineering documentation to comply with the product development policies, practices, and procedures
* Identifying design and development problems and devise elegant solutions
* Collaborate with other Software Development Engineers and Software Test Engineers to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner
* You will actively contribute in aspects of agile software development: planning, tracking, architecture, development, configuration management, testing, integration, validation, and documentation.
* Support cross functional (e.g., Support, Documentation) inquiries
* Support investigation and resolution of defects in the installed base of existing products
* Ensuring a high level of software quality by following standards, writing unit tests, and is fully tested before delivery

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
* 5 + years of experience with C#, Java, or Angular is a must
* 8 + years of experience in full stack web development and comfortable driving technology discussion
* Strong team player, experience working with diverse cross-functional teams
* Experience with Agile development methodology
* Understanding of HTTP / HTTPS protocol and REST web service development is desirable
* Working knowledge of Microsoft development technologies
* Strong team player, experience working with diverse cross-functional teams
* Experience with Agile development methodology
* Experience in Medical Device or other highly-regulated environment is a plus
* Take pride in writing clean code, strong documentation, and good test coverage
* You enjoy being part of a team and the importance from learning from & mentoring others
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to produce high quality work independently
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills
