REQUIRED: at least five years of professional web development experience building responsive websites and custom applications; a college degree; professional experience developing custom solutions for WordPress; demonstrated fluency with and experience using the following tools in a professional context - PHP, React, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, ES6+ JavaScript (especially Node.js), and webpack; comfort at the Unix command line; experience using and integrating third-party API; familiarity with Git/GitHub and ability to carry out typical operations with it, including branching, merging, submitting code for peer review, and reviewing peer's code yourself; ability to meet delivery dates while writing good and readable code; willingness to document, answer tickets, and track issues; and strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively communicating with colleagues at all levels of seniority. FULL STACK LAMP (LINUX, APACHE, MYSQL, PHP) DEVELOPER, MIT Technology Review, to join a multidisciplinary product development team responsible for building and maintaining Technology Review's digital products. Tech Review is an independent media company owned by MIT. Will bring experience with JavaScript (Node.js, Hapi, Next.js, and React), PHP, MySQL, and other technologies to bear on a full stack transition to a custom WordPress platform. Will help maintain and modify the current infrastructure and codebase while joining the migration project in progress. Once the migration is complete, will play a key role in building a range of internal- and external-facing tools that will extend the editorial team's digital story-telling capabilities, equip the marketing and sales teams to engage with customers, and delight Technology Review's readers and event attendees.
