Full Stack JavaScript Engineer

Capital One is seeking a JavaScript Developer for Intelligent Assistants to create dazzling, intuitive, efficient web interfaces for authoring, editing, and training content, ontologies, and machine learning models for our text- and speech-based intelligent assistants. As a JavaScript Developer at Capital One, you'll work on Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Assistant supporting web applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to highly-available RESTful services and back-end Java based systems.You'll bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: Node.js, React, Angular, Vue, REST, Java, Python, JSON, XML, HTML / HTML5, CSS, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Ansible, and AWS/Cloud Infrastructure, to name a few.

You will:

* Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios


* Continuously improve software engineering practices


* Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies


* Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions


* Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community


* Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity



Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or military experience


* At least 5 years of experience in software development


* At least 3 years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript


* At least 3 years of experience with AngularJS, React.js, Vue.js, or Backbone.js frameworks


* At least 1 year of experience with RESTful API development


* At least 1 year of experience with NoSQL or PostgreSQL



Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's Degree


* 1+ years of experience with TypeScript


* 1+ years of experience with Java


* 1+ years of experience with DevOps Practices


* 1+ years of experience with AWS


* 1+ years of experience with Amazon Alexa


* 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Cortana


* 1+ years of experience with Google Assistant
