As a Java developer in our innovation team at ASSA ABLOY Shared Technologies, you will work together with creative, curious and competent innovators that together create the next generation access control solutions.

What you will be doing

You will work in a cross functional team developing the first cloud-based access system of its kind for hotels, managing access for staff and guests, i.e. configuration of doors and control and configuration of permissions.

We know that our products will last a long time and we apply the principles of Clean Code, TDD and Pair/Mob programming to ensure that we always deliver high quality software. The system is a Microservice architecture and is implemented with modern tools. We apply the principles of DevOps and Continuous Delivery to deliver our products to customers as soon as possible in the cloud (AWS).

What we are looking for

We think that you are an experienced (+5 years) Full Stack Java Developer who wants to do more than create the code. You take responsibility and own initiatives and you are self-driven as a person. You have strong communication and team working skills and enjoy collaboration with others.

We also think you have high analytical skills and enjoys abstract thinking combined with the ability to think it is fun to be hands-on. Before you started your work carrier, you have a masters in engineering/computer science or similar.

Technologies and tools you should know of are AWS (SQS, SNS, EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation etc.), IntelliJ, Java, Maven, Dropwizard, GoCD, Git, GitLab, Docker, React, Redux, Jest, ES6 with Webpack and Babel, Node JS, MySQL, Sonar, Python, CI/CD, TDD, DDD, DevOps, JIRA, agil methods.
