Day to Day:

Our client designs, builds, and operates high-capacity satellite networks - bringing broadband Internet access to the world. ATG is Viasat's data division. Every day, petabytes of data from Viasat networks across the globe are collected, processed, and stored -- and our Data Platform team makes it all happen. By leveraging modern tools such as Spark, Kafka, and Impala, we equip every employee with the power to make data driven decisions.

Our client's analytics group uses latest big-data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Impala, Hadoop) to analyze petabytes of data streaming from our operational systems. The instrumentation team has touchpoints across our network and facilitates the efficient data collection, transport, and analysis. Our diverse team of developers, data engineers and data scientists create innovative solutions to gain technical and business insights.

Must Have:

* 5 years' experience
* Design, build and own data collection, pipelines, and tests
* Communicate with management and influence business strategy
* Use Jupyter notebooks to analyze data and tests
* Use Snowplow Analytics to collect, enhance, and analyze data
* Use font end analytics tools like Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics to learn from user behavior
* Design and run AB tests across multiple web properties and platforms
* Comfortable with programming languages including Python and/or Javascript
* Comfortable with Linux environment
* BA/BS required
* Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Kafka, technology experience

Plus:

* Experience with Snowplow, Google Analytics, or other analytics framework is a big plus
* Built and ran AB tests, segmented marketing campaigns, digital marketing experience
* Startup experience
* Analytics spanning the full customer journey including e-commerce
