Senior Software Engineer

Wayfair is the premier destination to shop for a Zillion Things Home across 5,000 brands. Here, you will play a key role in creating intuitive tools, libraries, and infrastructure to deliver startup-like agility to dozens of teams working at enterprise scale. What You'll Do

* Build the tooling & automation to deliver Dockerized development and production run time environments
* Author and contribute to internal core libraries that emphasize intuitive interfaces and composability
* Identify creative ways to enable over 1,000 software engineers to achieve success
* Leverage self-directed time to invest in the platform, yourself, and the open source community
* Help teams and projects best in class technologies and development practices

Who You Are:

* Mastery of a server side programming language (PHP preferred but not required)
* Experience mentoring junior engineers
* Experience leading a large, cross-cutting technical initiative to delivery
* Proficient in cross-functional consensus building and influencing without authority
* Proficient in designing systems at scale
* Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques
* Proficient in a frontend framework (React preferred but not required)
* Proficient in writing SQL queries against a relational database
