POSITION OVERVIEW

The Technical Operations Manufacturing team at Amazon Robotics is looking for an experienced, results-oriented Front-End Engineer to design, implement and support scalable, highly available, secure applications to facilitate internal exploration and evaluation of our robotic solutions. We have over 100,000 robots in the field across dozens of warehouses around the globe generating data, and we are constantly experimenting with new technology. In this role, you will own the end-to-end design of tools used to learn from this data, extract new innovative ideas and drive actions that impact customer experience. On top of data and analytics, you will work on designing, building, and maintaining services to control robotic movement within our manufacturing operations and provide new levels of insight, automation and testing effectiveness. You will utilize the latest AWS technologies to provide new capabilities and increased efficiency, and you will lead the way staying up to date with tools, trends, technologies and frameworks.

The ideal candidate possesses expert knowledge in web and full-stack performance, scalability, system architecture, and engineering best practices. This position requires in-depth knowledge of design and development of interactive applications. You will be working from the customer backwards to develop insightful and effective user interfaces and the middle-end code to support them. Experience in Big Data, Analytics, AI/ML, Serverless and related technology trends is highly desired. You should have experience with agile methodologies, working experience with at least one high level language, and experience building scalable and robust user interfaces.
