About the Role

At thredUP, we have cross-functional teams working together to revolutionize the clothing industry and we're looking for an engineer to work closely with our Product team to inspire a new generation of consumers to think secondhand first. You'll be expected to work on our next-generation front-end (React & ApolloJS delivered isomorphically with NodeJS). * thredUP is relocating to Oakland in Fall '19. This role will be expected to work in SF until then.

Responsibilities

* Setting realistic developer time estimates and completing them on time.
* Implementing experiments and collaborate with stakeholders to cycle iteratively with validated learnings.
* Pushing code that's well tested and improves the overall quality of the codebase.
* Following projects past deployment to ensure the code is acting as intended.
* Thoroughly reviewing peer's code through pull requests.
* Being open to pairing, knowledge transfer, and teaching other engineers.
* Making sure all user-facing bugs are squashed as soon as possible.
* Wanting to improve our processes and engineering culture.

Requirements

* 2+ years of production level web engineering experience (E-commerce is a bonus).
* Believer in automated testing.
* Strong front-end skills (React preferred).Familiar with Git.
* Ability to work well with non-engineer stakeholders.
* (Bonus) Node.js experience.
* (Bonus) Knowledge of front-end performance optimization.
* (Bonus) Experience working with GraphQL.
