JOB POSITION: Front-End Software Engineer/Enterprise Design System

JOB LOCATION: New York, NY

JOB SUMMARY: Hook&Loop, a corporate-backed company with a startup mentality, is looking for an experienced Front-End Software Engineer to join our growing design system team. This role will play a key part in maintaining and evolving the Infor Design System jQuery components and Angular libraries.

QUALIFICATIONS: You should be a developer with 3 or more years of software development experience in remote or team-based environments. You have advanced JavaScript & CSS skills, and proficiency with jQuery and Angular. You have a proven track record of working on advanced, scalable, interactive web applications as a front-end and/or full stack developer. You're passionate about web standards/best practices, front-end technologies, and code quality. You have strong communication skills, are a self-learner, and you engage with the product development lifecycle from concept to support. You also implement cross-platform and responsive solutions, pay close attention to detail, and have an eye for user experience. You can provide product release support to consuming teams and team members.

* Strong communications, interpersonal and PC skills Education: • Bachelor's degree or similar in software engineering or computer science Bonus points if you: • Are familiar with code documentation best practices • Some familiarity with accessibility standards (WAI-ARIA, WCAG 2.1, and Section 508) • Previously worked with a design system
