Job Description

The mobile apps team at AWS creates services, libraries, and tools for mobile and web app developers. These include the Amplify OSS libraries and CLI, AppSync, the Amplify Console, and Device Farm. We enable developers to create high-quality apps that are scalable, secure, and highly available by integrating AWS services seamlessly into their apps.

The Amplify Framework team is looking for a passionate, hard-working, and committed Front End Engineer to improve the JavaScript developer experience through the application of novel engineering and a deep understanding of browser technologies such as React, React Native, JavaScript and HTML. The ideal candidate is passionate about new opportunities and has a strong track record of successfully delivering new features and products. A commitment to team work, initiative, and strong communication skills are a must. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building scalable software products. This person thrives on delivering high quality technology solutions in an environment where priorities shift fast to meet the changing needs of our customers.

As a member of the team, you will:

* Deliver a lot of high quality code
* JavaScript / Browser architecture design
* Work closely with the product team and other AWS teams to deliver on the team's technical vision
* Drive team discussions on system architecture and component design
* Lead development and launch of core features and products
* Participate in all stages of the software development cycle, including design and development of significant new architectural systems and improvements
* Participate in estimation and sprint planning
* Mentor junior team members
