Front End Developer - Wikibuy

Within Capital One, the Wikibuy team is working on a new consumer product that seeks to change the way people buy things online. We believe that no matter where you shop, it should be easy to buy things at the best price.

We are a fast-paced, get-stuff-done team solving a difficult problem in a unique way. We're focused on scaling our products to millions of customers and refining the experience to create a product that customers and partners can't live without.

Our office in Austin is located at 3711 South Mopac Expressway.

Who are you?

* A web developer by trade who has fallen in love with building applications and solving problems in JavaScript. Someone passionate about leveraging the extension platform to save customers time and money.


* You prefer an intense, energetic environment and working with passionate, top-notch people


* You execute well with a high degree of individual ownership, but are also adept working as part of a team



Responsibilities

* Immediate responsibilities include: Leading development and architecture for our extension platform. Working alongside members of our product and tech team to define, scope, implement, and release new features across our extensions on all major browsers.


* In the future you will build and grow a team to support our extensions



Technologies we use:

Node.js, React, Redux, Boabab, LESS, SASS, CSS. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Webpack, and Gulp

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or military experience


* At least 5 years of experience in Javascript


* At least 3 years of experience with React



Preferred Qualifications

* 3+ years of software development experience with Node.js


* Experience with Redux or Boabab


* Experience architecting complex web solutions


* Experience refactoring and operating within large established codebases


* Experience with web build tools such as Webpack and Gulp
