Job Description

Freelance Programmer III Job Purpose: Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. Responsible for working with senior programmers and independently to create web and mobile technology based applications within estimated budgets and deadlines. They will participate in all phases of development with a focus on structure and integration. They require light to mid supervision.

Freelance Programmer III Job Duties:

* Clarify what actions the program is intended to perform;
* Breaking down program specification into its simplest elements and translating this logic into a programming language;
* Devising possible solutions to anticipated problems;
* Working as part of a team to write a specific section of a program;
* Combining all elements of the program design and testing it;
* Testing sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as intended;
* Conducting testing and installing the program into production;
* Reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary;
* Assist Sr. Programmers in evaluating and increasing the program's effectiveness;
* Conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly and accurately;
* Assist in writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users;
* Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge;
* Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing applications.

Skills/Qualifications: May require a bachelors degree in a related area and/ or 2-5 years of experience in Full Stack open source development a MUST. General programming skills, analyzing information, problem solving, attention to detail, software documentation, software testing.
