Job Description

Position DescriptionWorks on product implementation, enhancement, integration or program servicing directly for internal and/or external customers. Provides overall support to financial functions such as time keeping, retirement transactions, payroll, etc. Reviews reports and transactions and assists with error correction. Ensures that financial modules are meeting organizational needs. May be responsible for end user training. Ensures that consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the system. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. A bachelor's degree in related area and four years relevant professional experience preferred. Education may be used in lieu of up to two (2) years' experience. Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively including: a) providing detailed instructions in how to perform a task; b) comprehending issues and providing appropriate troubleshooting steps; c) clearly explaining account information; d) ensuring follow-up steps are captured in the conversation. Communicating effectively with co-workers, supervisors and the client in order to sufficiently exchange or convey information Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills Working knowledge or experience with personal computers, MS Office products (i.e. Excel) Working knowledge or experience with financial systems (i.e. OMNI platform) Working knowledge or experience with federal and/or military financial benefits Experience with payroll operations and the TSP Solid understanding of Process Management and Controls in a financial or business environment Self-disciplined and strong work ethic Managing multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines May require minimal travel Company OverviewSerco Inc.
