This role is in the Finance and Accounting group, reporting directly to the FP&A/BI Manager. It is a newly created position with core responsibilities in IBM Cognos TM1 administration, Financial Analysis and Business Intelligence. This is a technical role where data integrity and accuracy are critical. The primary focus will be to administer the forecasting/budgeting planning system (IBM Cognos TM1) and gradually develop into a financial systems expert within the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
IBM Cognos TM1 Administration:
Administer the TM1 Environment
Import and reconcile actuals from Deltek Costpoint
Add projects to the environment
Update Subcontractor and Consultant Rates within the model (data cube)
Validate and test data within models
Help Desk support related to TM1 environment
Administer security settings throughout the IBM Cognos TM1 environment
Setup up user access and troubleshoot user access issues
Review models on a daily basis and follow-up with Business area key personnel
Identify significant changes/variances in forecasted/planned data from day to day, analyze for accuracy
Review profitability trends in the forecast and diagnose the source of discrepancies
Develop reports and tools for business users
Report Creation Deltek Cognos B.I
Create and maintain Deltek Costpoint Cognos Report Studio reports
Interface with users and provide assistance
Respond to report requirements from users and make necessary updates
Maintain Report Security in conjunction with IT Director and Controller
The responsibilities of this role may evolve as the role develops and strategic priorities of the organization change.
Strong Spreadhseet skills require (i.e. Michosoft Excel and other Microsoft slolutions.
Government Contracting knowledge preferred
Experience/knowledge with Deltek Costpoint
Knowledge of various contract Revenue Types (Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Time and Materials, Fixed Price)
Good understanding of US GAAP

The right candidate will utilize their financial & accounting skills and database knowledge to support stakeholders on both the operational and financial side of the enterprise. S/he will develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with all levels of the organization, and take on Cognos B.I. report writing and editing responsibilities in order to provide world class financial planning & analysis support for decision-making across the enterprise.
Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.
Minimum education: Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems
