Job Description:

* Responsible for the installation, repair, configuration and preventative maintenance of personal computers, network equipment, and/or telecommunications equipment.
* Answers internal inquiries and troubleshoots software and hardware failures either in person or on the phone.
* Performs hardware and software moves, adds and changes.
* Ensures systems and related equipment are in working condition.
* Maintains records on repairs, down time, changes and updates
* Perform basic software troubleshooting and diagnostics
* Serve as the point of contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk
* Install hardware and software including operating system and office applications
* Responsible for providing computer hardware, software and network technical support to end-users
* Assists with setup and configuration of system hardware and software.
* Implementing software changes (Upload, Download & SW Regression) Installing new software and hardware into various devices such as PCs, Cisco Routers, Sun servers, etc.
* Be responsive to callouts and periodic on call availability including working with centralized control centers.
* Willingness and/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and to respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
* Ability to work in high stress and visibility environment.; Professional appearance.
* This position requires regular operation of a company vehicle and related compliance to all Federal, State, and Local regulations, to include but not limited to possession and maintenance of a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
* Frequently moves equipment and tools weighing up to 70 pounds from truck to job site.
* Utilizes ladders or step stools to reach heights of approx. 10 feet.
* Will work out of one's home in an "on-call" status.

Qualifications:

* AA/AS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
* Certified in CCNA, CCNP, A+, MCP or MCDS
* Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards.
* Experience using Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital O-scope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets.
