Part-Time Shift(s): Monday-Friday between 7am-5pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as Part-Time FAST Solutions Support, you will facilitate the initial setup, programming, troubleshooting, and repairing of our FAST (Fastenal Automated Supply Technology) equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Setting-up, programming, and troubleshooting Fastenal's FAST Solutions equipment

o Testing and repairing mechanical and electrical components of FAST Solutions equipment

o Supporting parts order preparation and shipments while maintaining accurate inventory

o Maintaining quality and efficiencies while providing for continual departmental improvements

o Cleaning and refurbishing of FAST Solutions equipment

o Communicating with department Lead, Hub Manager, Vendors, Fastenal Branches and their customers

o Complying with safety regulations

o Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o 18 years of age or over

o A valid driver's license and ability to meet our driving record requirements

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Mechanically inclined

o Demonstrate strong attention to detail

o Exhibit strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills

o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities

o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

o Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh up to 70lbs

o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Willingness and ability to become forklift certified.
