AMD Research is seeking co-op engineers to conduct research on novel software techniques for CPU and GPU-based systems. The research can potentially explore several areas of the software stack including parallel and distributed programming model studies. The work has the potential to directly impact the current production software stack as well as influence the direction of future hardware and software. Ideal candidates will have experience with CPU and GPU programming models, high performance networks, compilers, runtimes and programming language design. Previous co-op engineers at AMD Research have gone on to publish the results of their work in major academic and industrial conferences, file patent disclosures for innovative ideas as well contribute to production code and hardware designs.
