This exciting opportunity is for a college student looking to get a jump-start on their career within a growing corporation. At Virtual, our Internship Program is unique in that we encourage all of our interns to have a voice in the company and to learn and grow during your time with us through shadowing opportunities and taking part in cross-functional projects. You'll also get a chance to sit down with senior executives, learn about their background and dig a little deeper into how they got where they are today while they share advice on things that helped them along the way.

You will gain a deeper understanding of the way that business works outside of the classroom, and you will have the chance to network with successful colleagues in your field of study.

You will also be joining a whole group of college interns just like you.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A VIRTUALITE:

* Provide day-to-day 1st level technical support, by responding to incoming phone calls, tickets and assignments designated by the Director: IT Infrastructure and the Lead System Network Engineer.
* Install, Upgrade, and Configure software on Virtual Approved Hardware, including the maintenance and configurations of corporate preventive solutions such as anti-virus, anti-spam, spyware and related support tools. This position requires a hands-on experience with multiple versions of the Microsoft Windows operating systems to achieve optimum performance.
* Strong accountability, analytical, organizational and communication skills are a must. As is the ability to work in a team oriented environment, provide customer service and basic step by step training to the end user community.
* Track and Log incoming support calls, document and maintain standard operational procedures as well as maintain systems documentation for testing and validation.
* Perform software distribution, installation, troubleshooting, and patch management to Windows workstations.
* Submit weekly status reports, escalate outstanding and problematic issues to Senior Staff and Level 2 Techs.
* Be the face of the company while assisting the office manager with front desk coverage and be a line of contact for incoming calls
* Show off your rockstar multi-tasking abilities by taking on different projects and tasks as needed

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

* College Junior / Senior Associate/Bachelors or CCNA/MCTS/MCITP
* Degree Majoring in Information Systems/Information Technology/Computer Science
* Min. Experience of 0 -1+ Years
* Knowledge of workstation operating systems, Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office / 365 Family of Products
* Knowledge of basic Active Directory and Exchange Domain Account Administration / Principles
* Ability to search for answers independently and ask questions to achieve problem resolution.
* Familiarity with TCP Protocols, Wireless and Home Networks, and working with networking infrastructure technologies such as printers, cabling, telephones and switches.
