Facets Technical Support Engineer - Cognizant Healthcare Solutions
The technical support team works directly with clients to manage and resolve problems that could require a sound knowledge of the architecture and an eye to reverse engineer the product to identify the root of the problem. Deals directly with internal and external customers to ascertain problems and assist in resolving their issues, while striving to build and maintain strong customer relations and partnerships. Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution. Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve issues. Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams. In addition, working with functional and technical teams to identify requirements, architect solutions, implement/update solutions and triage and fix operational issues. Working on application support tools and scripts that can assist supporting applications.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
* Working knowledge of FACETS (desirable) * C++ and .NET Skills to troubleshoot and debug code * Good knowledge of SQL/Sybase/Oracle * Willingness to work in all areas of IT as needed * Exceptional written and oral communication skills. * Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills. * Strong documentation skills. * Keen attention to detail. * Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* .NET/C++ (must have) * WCF, troubleshooting web services (must have) * Good knowledge of SQL/Sybase/Oracle (must have) * MS Windows systems (services such as IIS/.NET/MSMQ/DTC) automation PowerShell DSC. (Desirable) * Azure (Desirable) * Proficient in scripting languages * Configuration management tools & processes * Source code repository tools * Relational databases (SQL Server), understand schemas, database structures and ability to write and debug SQL queries. * Networking concepts and protocols * Security (subnets, firewalls, routing, DNS, HTTP, TLS/SSL, etc.) * Experience building and supporting diagnostics tools for web based applications; working with IIS logs, WCF service logging, SQL performance and tuning.
