Responsibilities/Qualification

This position is in support of the Logistics & Sustainment Policy Integration Team of the F35 Logistics and Sustainment Community of Practice working for the F-35 Director, Logistics and Sustainment Policy Integration.

The F35 Plans and Programming Analyst is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, coordinating and compiling a wide range of Team and individual IPT inputs to Sustainment Documentation, Data and major decision forums.

Manages Logistics and Sustainment planning and policy data and databases and data management systems. Supports Community of Practice, IPT meetings, teleconferences and Review Boards.

DUTIES:

Compose/update documents and presentations and design/build management products using all Microsoft (MS) Office products and other applications as required. These include, but are not limited to, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Under general supervision, provides acquisition support by researching moderately complex acquisition requirements, performing market surveys for potential procurement avenues, and analyzing proposals for applicability to stated functional needs. Works with program engineers to determine procurement strategies to effectively meet program needs in accordance with cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

Uses moderately complex quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develops risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving acquisition/program planning, control, and execution.

Supports customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures.

Prepares documentation, reports, and project plans to describe activities planned and accomplished, status reports, letters, memoranda, messages, and contact reports.

Prepares and may assist in presenting formal briefings and staff seminars.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of government or other contracting environment relating to technical, scientific and analytic services, and identification of new business opportunities.

Ability to apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures.

Secret security clearance required

Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of experience or equivalent experience in education and work experience.
