Job Summary:

The IT Technician II provides effective and efficient analysis, diagnosis and resolution for a variety of software/hardware issues to end users both onsite and remotely.

Essential Functions:

* Provide first line support for all information technology issues and problems
* Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including Install/configure and support desktop hardware/software and peripheral components
* Act as liaison between end users and tier 2 support team
* Own and manage issue through resolution, working with end users and variety business functions
* Respond to and resolve IT service requests via phone, email, remotely and in person
* Rotating on-call hours will be required
* Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
* Minimum 2 years or equivalent work-related experience.
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail with focus on strong customer service skills
* Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys learning new cutting-edge technology
* Life sciences and/or biotechnology experience a plus
* Basic understanding of network concepts
* Familiarity with Microsoft NAV and CRM a plus
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 cloud base services
* Experience with Active Directory and MS Exchange
* Experience / Knowledge with iPad technology deployments
* Experience with Windows desktop and server technologies
* Experience with Cisco IP telephony
* Experience with support and management of mobile devices and tablets including iPhones and Android device, Windows Surfaces
* Familiarity with supporting basic office machines such printers, copiers, scanners, etc.
