ERP Implementation Manager

The ERP Implementation Manager works closely with the VP of IS and other key business decision-makers in identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. This position provides the strategy, leadership, and day-to-day management of the global enterprise applications for Industrial Solutions & Fluid Handling Solutions Segments. The ERP Implementation Manager has the ultimate responsibility of identifying and designing current and future technical solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. * Serves as subject matter expert (SME) on all technology related deliverables, tasks, activities and development of integration toolsets and practices for related ERP solution; provide expert guidance to the team on best practices, standardization and documentation; provide guidelines to ensure consistent user experiences.
* Provides ERP advisory services with functional leaders, SME's, power users, ERP and third-party vendors to explore improvement opportunity. Communicate with various business units to gather project requirements, providing end-to-end application support.
* Defines ERP operating goals, objectives and operating procedures consistent with corporate objectives.
* Implements relevant metrics and regular reporting.
* Develops and maintain the ERP roadmap, including areas of prioritization, management, maintenance and oversight of ERP and associated ERP applications.
* Develops business requirements, implement and configure the ERP systems, modifying the system to meet business requirements, documenting the project templates.
* Establishes project-testing methodologies, including test/production environments, systems integration, user acceptance and production cut over protocols.
* Acts as a liaison between business process owners and business operations to ensure alignment with business drivers, and then integrate these requirements into the strategy as it is developed.
* Understands customer requirements and impact of system issues.
* Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.
* Works closely with the team to deliver high-quality customer support.
* Controls and manages projects with an end result orientation, including all project phases/tasks as applicable to the project size; Coordinate with process owners and as well as other product managers involved in multi-disciplinary efforts.
* Controls and manages production system issues: triage issues; conduct detailed impact analysis, root cause analysis, and downstream effects of modifications; Determine most effective way to operationalize fixes.
* Implements maintenance and emergency support functions, including monitoring, change management, updates, and regular database/server administration.
* ERP reporting engine management.
* Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS desired.
* Minimum of 5 years in Information Technology and at least 2 years' experience in a management role with direct reports.
* Implementation experience with ERP and CRM; preferred.
* Minimum of 1+ full life cycle implementations. (2+ full life cycle Implementations preferred)
* Hands on experience with SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or Epicor ERP (Dynamics ERP preferred).
* Experience in Project management in leading the teams.
* Experience in writing the functional and technical specifications for development.
* Demonstrated capability to conceptualize, analyze, and solve technical and business challenges.
* A team player and effective communicator who can build consensus.
* Ability to distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
* Must demonstrate excellent presentation, communication, writing and facilitation skills.
* Ability to adjust strategies and approaches quickly as conditions dictate.
* Possesses a combination of good process, conceptual, business analysis and problem-solving skills.
