The CTM (Chevron Time Management System) Software Engineer is a member of the Manufacturing Operations Team within Downstream and Chemicals IT Operations, which supports the Manufacturing Operations and Technology domain through support and administration of the CTM System. CTM is based on a vendor software package from WorkForce Software which is used to manage Refinery worker fatigue (fatigue risk management/ FRM) and payroll (Time Accounting/ TA). The software is comprised of a script-like configuration logic for business rules and integrates with SAP for Chevron payroll. The application platform is hosted on Microsoft Windows whereas the TA components are Linux-based. The current integration leverages IBM's DataStage.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

* Provides guidance and support for implementing, operating, maintaining and enhancing applications for use by Downstream and Chemicals consumers.
* Applies CPDEP, AGILE and OE principles, practices and processes to ensure appropriate functional, timely and budgetary constraints are met for project delivery and maintenance activities.
* Actively participate Agile Ceremonies such as Background Grooming Sessions, Sprint Planning Sessions, Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives.
* Applies best practices and standards while leading and participating in software development activities.
* Drives Superior Results. Acts with sense of urgency and decisiveness. Consistently delivers high quality deliverables and has a strong customer facing approach. Seeks to produce innovative, efficient and cost effective solutions.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelors Science Degree: Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or related degree.
* 4-6 years of technical experience application support

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience using Workforce Technologies
* Diverse application support experience, Integration experience, SQL Server and/or Oracle databases experience
* Proficient with a range of technologies; Microsoft Windows Server, SQL queries, WINSCP, Unix and network troubleshooting; Adaptable/ ability to learn new technologies and develop technical skills quickly
* Experience in Microsoft Cloud Azure Technologies
* Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Strong communication (written & verbal) skills
* Attentiveness to detail
* Ability to effectively work with other departments within Chevron
* Ability to multi task and meet aggressive deadlines
* Excellent business acumen
* Have a passion about customer service and a commitment to exceeding expectations
* Positive attitude and enjoy working with people and building relationship with customers
* Communicate technical concepts in layman's terms
* Communicate with other support groups and vendors to provide seamless support to customers
* Desire to solve problems
* Proper balance between a sense of urgency and the ability to keep your cool
