Job Description

The Epic System Analyst must be knowledgeable regarding business processing needs involved in hospital and clinic operations. The Epic Systems Analyst is responsible for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical and/or revenue cycle and access applications. Each individual must be able to work to 1) identify and resolve systems issues in coordination with other team members across all other Epic applications, 2) work closely with Operational counterparts to ensure consistent business processing methods, 3) provide expert and creative solutions to end-user requirements and problems, 4) perform in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, interface integration needs, reporting requirements, and 5) take the initiative to respond, research and resolve operational inquiries pertaining to EMR applications. Epic System Analysts will participate in driving operational change within the organization.

The Epic System Analysts is responsible for obtaining the appropriate Epic certification(s) and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality and acquiring knowledge of the clinical or revenue cycle/access workflows to be implemented and supported within the system.

Qualifications

* Epic Systems Analyst:

Associate's degree required. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Must obtain up-to-date Epic certification in designated application within 6 weeks of last on-site Epic class.

One year related systems experience required. Previous experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory clinic preferred. Previous experiences with Epic build, testing, training and go-live support desired.

Epic Senior Systems Analyst:

Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Must obtain up-to-date Epic certification in designated application within 6 weeks of last on-site Epic class.

Preferred: minimum of two years related systems experience required. Previous experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory clinic preferred. All candidates will be expected to complete and pass the EPIC work style/aptitude assessment. Candidates will not proceed to interview if not successful with assessment.
