About

Job Description

* Work with CCHC teams including Application Development, and Business Process Owners to design, develop, and maintain Epic security roles, permission lists, and workgroup designs within prescribed policies and requirements;


* Analyze and resolve security access issues in all Epic environments;


* Provide day-to-day application security support and administrative activities, including managing help desk tickets related to security configuration;


* Develop and maintains documentation related to security design, implementation, and practices. Stay informed of the latest features and functionality to enhance the existing security model to gain efficiencies;


* Coordinate security templates, add role updates and establishes a security change control process;


* Coordinates security-related activity across infrastructure (network, servers, operating system) and application support (epic and non-Epic teams);


* Works collaboratively with application and compliance teams to design system-level access;


* Creates user records and maps them to templates built by application coordinator/analysts;


* Create appropriate shared security classifications which do not have specific application ownership;


* Creates and maintains procedures to activate, deactivate, and update Epic user records;


* Understands the Epic software security structures, including user profiles, roles, and security classes;


* Maintains and supports Epic system security auditing capabilities;


* Respond and act on issues related to compliance, audits, security breaches and policy/procedure violations as requested by Senior Management;


* Establishes ownership of each particular security class;


* Provisions application security level and roles as needed to augment the CCHC ITS user access team staff;


* Performs other work-related duties as assigned or requested.


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a combination of equivalent technical experience and education;


* 5 years' experience in application security design, configuration, and maintenance, implementation experience preferred;


* Must be able to attain Epic Security Certification;


* Epic application security planning, design and configuration experience highly desired;


* Understanding of concepts of confidentiality and data security;


* Experience with single sign-on configuration and LDAP/Active Directory integration;


* Experience working with Database and Network Administrators to ensure that security requirements are accurately enforced throughout the underlying infrastructure;


* Working knowledge of and experience with all aspects of the security audit process;


* Ability to work independently and develop plans related to accomplishing multiple tasks and following the plans through to completion.
