Job Description

Ambulatory Team Lead Mount Auburn Hospital has implemented Epic, a patient-centered health information system, across our organization and partner outpatient practices. This project supports our efforts to integrate clinical and financial records across multiple care settings. We adopted a full suite of Epic modules, so we need people with diverse skill sets and backgrounds from all healthcare fields. Your skills and talent will help Mount Auburn continue their commitment to care with compassion. We are seeking an Ambulatory Team Lead. This position will report to the Access & Ambulatory Manager.

In this position you will:

* Directly manage a team of analysts responsible for the implementation, training, and support of the Ambulatory, Epicare Link, Haiku/Canto and Healthy Planet applications
* Manage application specific work plans at the resource and task level
* Ensure the quality of implementation and support for the applications meets organizational standards
* Configure, build, test, and support the Epic implementation and Optimization at Mount Auburn Hospital and independent physician offices
* Design processes with representatives from clinical or financial operations to ensure technology supports business processes
* Identify and escalate any issues/problems/delays that may adversely impact the project
* Achieve in depth knowledge of respective Epic application and stay current with new application functionality and enhancements

Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree
* Active Epic Ambulatory Certification
* Minimum 5 years of information systems experience (or relevant operations experience)
* Demonstrated ability to mentor, guide and motivate direct reports through implementation of best practices. Capable of supervising all aspects of day-to-day operations and support
* Solid understanding of hospital or outpatient environment and operations
* Knowledge and experience using basic and intermediate project management tools and techniques
* Able to independently and/or collaboratively bring problems to complete resolution • Able to identify complex problems, their probable causes, their impact to operations, escalate to appropriate leadership and recommend an optimal course of action • Assure work assignments for team are completed in accordance with an established project timeline
* Strong written communication skills, including project documentation and technical writing • Strong verbal communication skills while interacting with team members, end users and other departments throughout the organization
* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to be a team player; flexible, friendly, congenial and enthusiastic
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Personal transportation for local travel, possibly some occasional out-of-town travel in addition to the training commitment above, and a valid Massachusetts driver's license
* Participate in on-call coverage as assigned working conditions
* Physical demands include ability to sit more than six hours per day.
* Ability to communicate via telephone, orally, and hear conversation more than 50% of the time.
* Upper extremity demands include ability to perform data entry with repetitive hand movement, and visual concentration at video display terminal, to review and enter data. Mount Auburn Hospital employees must be able to readily adjust to change, handle a rapid-paced environment and the stresses associated with that, while continuing to provide high-quality, efficient service.
