Hughes has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Software Engineer. This position will be located at our headquarters I Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

* Developing new and modifying existing business and operations applications in support of the HughesOn Enterprise services
* Responsible for implementing the software development life cycle during all application development from requirements gathering through deployment.
* Responsible for development primarily in Python/PHP

Basic Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, data sciences or related field
* 1 year of Experience with Python and PHP

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Java
* Familiar with Agile development methodologies
* Experience with Angular JS and Spring is a plus
* Experience with multiple web technologies including Javascript, Ajax, CSS, HTML
* Experience with relational DBs
* Experience with Windows and Linux OS
* Experience with REST based web services
* Understanding of OO principles and methodologies
