This role is part of our Data Experience Design team where we navigate the flood of information to surface understanding, reveal human insights and illuminate hidden opportunities. Our opportunity is to create a better relationship with data. To make data work for people instead of people work for data-to serve better understanding from data. We will serve the end-to-end lifecycle of data-deeply understanding how people USE data and how we can enhance that workflow.

As a UX designer, you will be working with researchers, product managers, business analysts and technology developers to impact the experiences of over 60 million customers. As someone that lives at the intersection of design and business while constantly anchoring on the needs of the customer you will represent a different way of working - human-centered and iterative - by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to take on our toughest business challenges and define compelling solutions.

Who we're looking for:

A talented UX Designer with a passion for the latest in technology. You understand the power of strategic design and have an "anything's possible" mindset. You're not cynical or inflexible and can communicate your thoughts and ideas clearly. You're proud of your work, your skill, and your expertise and you want to be part of something great. Here are some specifics:

* Understanding of interface and interaction patterns and best practices for various platforms, as well as experience working within a responsive design framework.


* Understanding of human-centered design and UX practices. Interest in partnering with other designers that specialize in content, strategy, and research on user testing, journey maps, and user flows.


* Experience creating prototypes that showcase design concepts and interaction patterns.


* Ability to quickly deliver multiple, inventive ideas that are fresh and simple while solving complex customer and business needs. Confidence in sharing in-progress work with teammates.


* Ability to clearly communicate your design decisions with the team and craft elegant presentations.


* Proficiency with current design tools (Adobe CC, Sketch, Invision, etc)

* Stay on top of the latest technology trends and are up for the challenge of finding ways to responsibly use those technologies and techniques


* You actively seek out ways to elevate others and add to the culture of any team you are a part of


* Positive yet practical; we could call your colleagues and they'd gush over how much they love working with you


* You can take initiative, aren't afraid to fail, ask thoughtful questions, and constantly seek better ways of working and communicating



Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or military experience


* At least 3 years of experience with user experience (UX) design


* At least 3 years of experience with human-centered design



Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor or Master's degree in a design-related field


* 5+ years of experience with standard digital design tools (i.e. Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite)


* 3+ years of experience designing digital products or services


* 3+ years of experience with information architecture


* 2+ years of experience with design research


* 2+ years of experience with design thinking tools and methods


* Experience working with data
