DESCRIPTION

Neman Marcus Group is looking for IT architects, who have the ability to engineer and design solutions across the architecture stack, across diverse technologies and across organizational boundaries. Ignite To Win (ITW) is an internal organization-wide initiative aimed at achieving not only financial EBIDTA targets, but also knowing our customers better and offering more relevant, tailored and frictionless multi-brand experiences /services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Experience in Data Modeling and an understanding of at least one of the commonly used Architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman etc)


* The ability to visualize complex business problems and their interdependence and bring coherence across multiple and parallel initiatives.


* The ability to bring clarity and structure to solving business problems in a realistic manner.


* Ability to explain the architectural choices along with trade-offs chosen, to a wider set of audience in a clear & concise manner.


* Demonstrated ability for analytical & creative problem solving and an ability to communicate across organizational boundaries.


* Must be familiar with the Requirements Analysis and the process associated with the Software Development Life Cycle (Agile, Waterfall etc.)



QUALIFICATIONS

* Ability to identify, understand and resolve impacts across Architectural landscape in the organization


* Design skills in specific technologies to include: J2EE, Enterprise Service Bus Design APIs, Oracle Retail, CRM systems such as Reltio, Siebel et.al


* Ability to create an Architecture definition document, in a canonical form, comprising of: Envisioned Foundational Capabilities, Functional blocks for each capability and associated key data attributes, Dependency between functional blocks and clearly delineating the functional and data interfaces (contracts), Data security implications, if any
* Demonstrated ability in designing two or more of the following areas: Data Architecture, Application Architecture, Information Architecture, Solution Architecture, Security Architecture both at the data & Application levels, Compute Infrastructure Architecture
* Candidates with prior experience in software development shall be preferred.
* Working knowledge of any Enterprise Architecture tool such as BizzDesign, Abacus, Alfabet.
* Ability to synthesize business problems and craft implementable Proof Of Concepts (POC's).

EDUCATION

At a minimum BS in Computer Science or an Engineering field. Candidates with an MS in Computer Science shall be preferred
